Welcome to Van Isle Treks! By booking a guided hike with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

 

1. Booking & Payments Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot. Prices are listed in CAD and are subject to change without notice. Bookings are non-transferable unless approved by Van Isle Treks.

2. Cancellations & Refunds Customer Cancellations: More than 7days before the trek: Full refund minus a processing fee. Between 6 d days and 48hrs: 50% refund. Less than 48hrs: No refund. Van Isle Treks Cancellations: If we cancel due to extreme weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund or reschedule option. We are not responsible for additional expenses (e.g., travel, accommodation).

3. Participant Requirements All participants must be physically fit for the selected hike. You must disclose any medical conditions that could impact your ability to participate. Participants under 18 years old require a parent/guardian’s consent. We reserve the right to deny participation to anyone deemed unfit for the trek.

4. Assumption of Risk & Waiver Hiking and outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, weather conditions, wildlife encounters, and injuries. By booking, you accept all risks and release Van Isle Treks from any liability for personal injury, property damage, or loss. Participants must sign a waiver before the trek begins.

5. Safety & Equipment You must bring the required gear as outlined in the booking confirmation. Failure to bring proper equipment may result in exclusion from the hike without a refund. Our guides have final authority on all safety decisions during the trek.

6. Weather & Itinerary Changes Hikes will proceed rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe. We may adjust itineraries due to weather, trail closures, or other safety concerns.

7. Code of Conduct Respect for nature, guides, and fellow hikers is mandatory. Littering, harassment, or reckless behavior will result in immediate removal from the hike without a refund.

8. Privacy Policy We collect personal information for booking and safety purposes only. Your data will not be shared or sold to third parties.

9. Governing Law These terms are governed by the laws of BC Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in BC.
